To clean the inside of the anus and rectum, you can use an anal douche. There are several types available. The main difference lies in how the water is introduced.

With a squeeze bulb

This type is easy to use and suitable for beginners. Detach the bulb from the nozzle and fill it with lukewarm water. Reattach the bulb to the nozzle, insert it gently, and squeeze the bulb slowly until it's empty.

With a syringe

An anal douche with a syringe works on the same principle. You fill the reservoir with water and introduce it by slowly pushing up the bottom of the syringe.

With a shower attachment

This type connects to your shower hose. Unscrew the showerhead and attach the anal douche to the hose instead. Turn the tap on gently so the water flows steadily. This method is more intense and less suitable for beginners.

Always use lukewarm water and take your time. Stop right away if it starts to feel uncomfortable.
